Motorcycle Repair: thanks for your help. now another question, octane booster, advance mechanism

Question
it occured to me shortly before i read you response about my motorcycle not going above 5000 rpm that the centrifugal advance was likley to blame. after reading your answer i proceeded doing all the things you suggested. i took off the advance mechanism and checked it for smooth operation, check. when putting it back i found that the pin that locks it in place had fallen out. my guess it that somehow it got lodged in there tight enough to keep the cam from moving too much while also jamming the advance. anyway, i fixed that and for the first time since i have ridden it, it ran smoothly above 60mph. now that it's working i want to keep it in healthy condition, so i filled the tank with premnium gas and bought some fuel stabalizer and octane booster. i've read good and bad about the octane booster and am wondering if anything, good or bad, will happen because of it.
again, thanks for your help.

Answer
Nick, I am glad you tracked down the problem. As far as fuel goes, they will run fine on Premimum Fuel w/o octane booster or lead additives.

You may or may not feel a difference with the octane booster, but if the bike is tuned to OEM specs and the intake and exhaust systems are all original, then it doesn't need anything else to perform well.
