Motorcycle Repair: Dyna front ends, thay, bearings

Question
I see in catalogs, fork assemblies listed for application to FXDWG,(wide glide)and/or FXST, but not FXD, (super glide). Since the FXD & FXDWG are the same chassis, doesn't it make sense that any front end fitting a Wide Glide will also fit a Super Glide frame neck of the same model year?

Thanks

Answer
not it does not. The FXST uses steering neck cups that hold the bearings and races. The rubber mount dyna does not use steering cups. the races go into the frame neck. but you can use the front ends on either bike. thay just are mounted differently.  Johnny
