Motorcycle Repair: remaping, epa standards, remapping

I have just bought a new FXDI super glide EFI and i want to take out the baffes will this hurt my bike. Some tell me i have to have it remaped are it will burn my motor up.What do you thank?

Your bike came out of the factory lean to pass EPA standards, so taking out the baffles will make it run even leaner. The other problem is you will loose power at the midrange.
I would suggest getting a exhaust tuned exhaust system, a high flow air filter and get the remapping.
You can purchace the exhaust and highflow air filter and install it yourself and then have the dealer do the remapping to save some money.
