All that removing the baffles will do is to completely ruin your performance, annoy your neighbors and guarantee a ticket for illegal exhaust. The law doesn't allow you to remove the baffles at all.
You would be far better off just getting an aftermarket system on the bike if you insist getting louder pipes.
Just keep in mind that, contrary to popular propaganda, loud pipes do not save lives. That's just an urban legend.
They do, however annoy the nieghbors and make the police take an extra look in your direction. Keep that in mind, since you have a nighthawk and it is close enough to a racebike that the police will give you that extra attention anyway.
