Question
Recently I've replaced all four air cutoff valves on carbs as well as spark plugs.  Bike runs great when motor is warm however, when cold, it takes a lot of cranking to get it to start.  What should I check?

Answer
Hi James.
Check for air leaks in the intake manifolds and their connections and check the valve gap and timing.

If the bike spends time in seasonal storage, then you may want to give the carbs a proper cleaning if it hasn't been done yet.  That could also be a factor in this problem.

Those are the things that come to mind to check, so start there and let me know what you find.

Good luck.
