Motorcycle Repair: no start, honda vtx 1800, turning the key

Question
I have a 02 honda vtx 1800,has 3500 miles on it.
Sunday I started the bike,it ran fine,then I came
out the next day and it would not start.It cranks
over fine,but will not attemped to start,I checked
for spark and its ok.
One thing that I noticed is that i don't here the
fuel pump run when first turn the key on.
Do you know of any problems with fuel system?

Hi Ron,

I don't know of any fuel pump problems as in recalls or warranty fixes on that model.

Did you hear the pump click when turning the key before the problem started, but now you don't?

You may have a defective pump or a problem with the electric in that circuit. You'll have to perform some tests to know.
