Motorcycle Repair: tire repair, factory tool kit, honda shadow

Hi.  I am not too mechanically able.  I bought a Honda Shadow 2000 and have a flat front tire.  I bought a new tube but am damned if I can figure out how to remove the front wheel to change the tube.  How do you loosen the two little bolts that pinch the axle so it can be screwed out?  Can you help?  Thanks, I really appreciate it.

Hi Ken.
 The bike should have come with a tool kit.  In that kit is a wrench for almost every bolt, nut and screw on the bike.

Use the appropriate size wrench on the bolts.  One on each so that they don't spin without loosening.  If it is an Allen bolt, then there should be a small set of Allen wrenches in the tool kit.  If not, then go out and get a set and add it to the tool kit.

I always make a habit of supplimenting the factory tool kit with a few duplicate size wrences as well as a small socket set.  Having that has saved the day more times than I care to consider.
