Motorcycle Repair: hi Chris...help me pliss..., stroke bike, carbeurators

Question
i have a 4 stroke bike and i'm confused on how to set the "drop engine" ? ... i don't know the right term but i think it's what happen after you pull the gas and let it loose so the engine will drop...but my bike seem to drop rather slow...so i just want to know how to make it drop rather fast again...

btw i had an accident just a few days ago..my bike is totally fine but for somewhat it became strange.. ?

thanks for your answer Chris...

Answer
Hi Patria.
If I understand what you are asking, you are talking about the idle speed.  That is adjusted by a small gnurled knob sticking out from under the carbeurators.  You must have the carbs synchronised properly for the idle to be correctly set.

The fact that you had an accident with the bike will have thrown the carbs out of synch as well as affecting the idle.

You will need the repair manual to correctly adjust the carbs and set the idle to the correct rpms.  That book will have the specs as well as steps for each repair that you need to do on the bike.

If this is not the problem with the bike, then you will need to re-explain the problem with as much detail as you can give me on the problem.

Good luck.
