Motorcycle Repair: brake slop, caliper pistons, steel lines

Question
2000 Dyna convertable dual front brakes.  Been mushy for awhil, shop said while changing front tire they got it as good as they could.  Said I might put in master cylinder rebuild kit.  Finally did that and put on steel lines.  Not any better.  Have to pump the brake handle to get it to grab good once you leave it go you get fluid pushed back into master.  I'm thinking the caliper pistons are crapped up?  If so can you get them apart without the HD piston tool as mentioned in the shop manual?  If this ain't it what?

Answer
loosen up bleed screw and push pistons all the way back into the caliper, retightrn up bleed screw, install now brake pads. reinstall caliper and pump up brakes. then refill master cylinder. and reinstall master cylinder cap and re bleed brakes   end of proublem  Beleve me this will work   brake lever will be right on top!!!.
