Motorcycle Repair: building a stroker motor, mike 937, stroker motor

I have a late 80's evo stock engine. I want to build a 96" stroker.Does the case have to be machined? Also is it better to use after market parts or screaming eagle stuff.

Yes the cases will have to be machined.
On the parts, my personal prefence is S&S parts on a job like this. I do like Screaming Eagle parts, but you spend a little more money do to the fact that they are harley parts, not any better parts.
