Motorcycle Repair: f4i fuel injection problem, lake shore drive, sporatically

Hi Falcon,

Wondering if you can help me out with this:

I have an 01 F4i with FI and about 11k miles. Two days ago, I was riding down Lake Shore Drive, and everytime I'd go over a decent-sized bump, my FI light would go on for a few seconds, and go off. Half the time this happened, the motor appeared to be dying, but did not. Then, yesterday, the FI light would go on over small bumps, or no bumps at all...kind of sporatically.

I have an M4 pipe, and K&N Filter on it--but the pipe has been on since I bought the bike, and the filter since last summer--and have never given me problems.

I tried adding a tiny bit of fuel injector cleaner to my gas--but today, after riding for a little bit, it still died on me--like 4-5 times...

Any help would be great!

Hi Harry.
 I don't really think that your problem is the injectors.  It sounds more like there is a short in the electrical component of the injector system.

If you are not extremely confident with electrical, then take it to someone who is.
