Motorcycle Repair: droping cylinders in a Virago, exorcism ritual, rear cylinder

Chris, im working on a 81 750 Virago.The ignition system is haunted! First it would drop out the rear cylinder, then run fine then the front cylinder, run fine ,etc. I changed the coils, as they were borderline. It ran good . then the next day it would start, then start to miss on the front again. I replaced the TCI with a used unit,and it was ok for awhile.I put the original back on it was ok for a few minutes then, well you get the picture.Do I call an Exorsist, or just shoot the bike?  Ps the pick up coils, wiring and battery have all checked out ok.  There is an exorcism ritual for this kind of possession.

Check the ignition wiring for shorts and grounding.  Likely, you have an intermittent short somewhere between power and the coils.  Oftentimes, the vibration will shake loose one short or another.  You may want to try a bypass on a couple of the suspect sections and see what happens.
