i have a 1992 dr 350 suzukie.let me start from the beginning.i took my carb off for a cleaning i pulled the two small jets out from the air intake i believe one was a 0.7 not sure of the other one they are side by side.i ran it for a weekend it seemed like it backfired some so i swaped jets.then i parked it.then i took it out for a weekend and it kept flooding out when i stopped for more than a minute. so i orderd a new needle and seat it is a 2.0 not a 1.8 also i orderd a new float i did not adjust my float i took my bike out last night and could not get it started finally after a new spark plug it started i also messed with the pilot screw wich was a mistake any i headed into the mountains it had a little pop when i wound it out but at half or quarter throttle it ran okay i went two miles and it died icould not get it restarted carb bowl was full so it is still in the mountains un til friday my carb is a tm33 pumper quick question on the compression release does have to be used to start my bike or does it matter maybe im out of adjustment on my tdc.will take any advice that you have thank you robin

Hi Robin,

The carburetor will need some tuning. You described the problem in detail. I need some history on the vehicle: was itstored for a period of time? any recent repairs? last tune-up? performance parts? etc...

Do you have the service manual? If not, buy it. You'll need the specs and procedures listed in the manual.

Send me your email address as requested. I can send you carb tuning and cleaning files.

We'll go from there...

Respectfully,
Mark Shively

Robin,

I'll try the Hotmail addy. I usually get mail failure notices with Hotmail and Yahoo services.

Check your mail...
