Motorcycle Repair: Leeky greese., suzuki tu250x, nuts bolts

Question
My 1996 Suzuki TU250X has some oil seeping through the horizontal seem that joins the top of the cylinder (the head?) to the bottom, about halfway up the Cylinder. No smoke in the exhaust, engine rides and sounds fine. Do I need to simply tighten the bolts that hold the top down? Could any internal damage have occured to the piston on cylinder? Thankyou for any help,                                                         regards, Nicholas Sydney Australia

Answer
Hi Nick,

You'll need to re-torque the head to specs. There shouldn't be any damages to toehr engine parts. Purchase the service manual and follow directions to tighten the head nuts/bolts. The manual will pay for itself with the first home repair.
