Motorcycle Repair: valve adjustments, gsxr 750, joseph rubin

I have a 99 GSXR 750 SRAD. I am looking to adjust my valves, wanted to know how hard it was going to be and what tools I might need. Also what kind of parts do I need to get if they have to be replaced. The bike was jetted when the pipe was put on, and I was wanting to do some maintance on the bike to keep it in good running shape.

Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Joe,
 Not my area but you may be dealing w/ shims to adjust the clearance instead of a typical locknut mechanism.  There was a prob. w/ this bike according to a friend of mine that had one, the timing chain tensioner makes alot of noise however Suzuki says it's nothing to worry about.
