Motorcycle Repair: Idle speed cable 1997 CBR 600, speed cable, gas tank

After starting up my bike after about 2 years, I noticed it would not maintain idle speed.  I found the idle speed cable screwed all the way out and I am not sure where it is supposed to go.  I do not want to tear the gas tank off.  Can you give me some tips of where exactly the cable is supposed to be connected?

Hi James,

Visit "www.bikebandit.com" click on "OEM Parts" and select your MC from the menus. Look at the carb microfiche to get a view of the carbs.

The carbs may need professional cleaning if gas was left in the carbs during storage.

Consider having a shop look into your problem.
