Motorcycle Repair: Rear fender collision, kawasaki vulcan, rear fender

Question
Hi Chris, I have a 2001 Kawasaki Vulcan 500LTD that was smack in the left rear fender of the bike bending the light and reflector not too bad but now I am having worries about one side may be lower than the other and the wheel does seem to be straight. Do cruisers usually have one side a bit lower than the other. I ask this because the collision wasn't even hard but there might be underlying problems. Thanks in advance.

Answer
Hi Justin.
If I am understanding you right, you are concerned with the symmetry of the fender.  In that case, no.  They are not designed with one side lower than the other or further foreward or rearward of the other.

It sounds to me, that the worst problem that you have with this bike is the cosmetic problem.  Anything worse, should have shown up right away.

Ride safe.
