Motorcycle Repair: idle rpms, honda 110, adjustment screw

Question
Hello, I have an 83 honda 110 atc that idles at a higher than needed rpm's.I have cleaned the carb and you can remove the idle adjustment screw completely, but the idle rpm's are not affected. The motor seems to run great
Could it be the timing is off or the plug is to hot?Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks, Chris

Answer
Hi Chris,

The throttle cable needs adjusted at the carb top. This allows the throttle slide to lower, and the idle screw to maintain idle height.

Here's a good resource for ATC110 parts:  http://www.dratv.com/atcaran.html
