Answer
Hi Mark,

Gasoline goes bad with time and changes chemically, or otherwise known as varnishes (gels). When varnishing occurs, jets and passage ways inside the carbs becomes obstructed. Requires disassembly and thorough cleaning. Carb kits may be needed to replace needle valves (float valves)and jets, etc... Cost about $20 a kit.

I suspect your carbs have varnished and need cleaned. Send me an email addy as requested. I'll return several repair info files on carb cleaning, adjusting, and spark plug reading. Send to: mshively1@woh.rr.com
