Motorcycle Repair: I own a 1985 Honda Magna V45...., honda magna, radiator fan

Question
I own a 1985 Honda Magna V45.  The radiator fan fuse is continually blowing, I assume when the fan engages.  I would guess that I have a shorting problem somewhere?  How best to proceed?

Answer
Hi Steve.
A shorting fuse does indicate a short.  Either in the fan or in the wiring.  What you need to do is check the wires in the affected system for shorts.  Both visually and with a multimeter.  Check it from power to final ground point.

Good luck.
