hey falcon,i have a honda cbx and i got into a little fender bender.anyway the front rim is bent, also the front two bars are bent.i bought the parts and i would like to know how to take the tire and bars off.any help will be appreciated.thanks.the bike is 125cc 1998

Hi Apache.
As far as the front tire.  Taking that off is just like removing a bicycle tire.  Remember to deflate the tire first.  The quickest and easiest way is to remove the schreader valve from the valvestem.  Don't lose that valve, since you will need to put it back in.

By "bars", I presume that you mean the front forks.  That is simple.  (you'll kick yourself when you read this)
The forks come off by loosening the bolts on the outside ends of each side of the upper and lower clamps that they attach to (at the steering head) and sliding them out.  That clamp, which is over and under the steering head, is called the triple-tree.  You should get the repair manual for the bike as those bolts on the triple-tree need to be torqued down at the correct tension.  Too little and they could come loose.  Too much and they could damage the forks.

Good luck.
FALCON          hey falcon one more question.the fork has two parts to it,the part thats connected to the rim an one part connected triple tree how do i get them apart? i took off the rubber dust cover. oh before i forget the front break is locked, but not on the rim,how do i free it.thanks apache

Answer
Hi Apache.
There is a special tool that you need to disassemble the forks.  It should be listed in the front section of the repair manual, which will also have disassembly instructions for the forks.  But there is a bolt that needs to be removed in the center of the fork that only that special tool can reach.

As far as the front brake, you may want to inspect the system for damage internally.  it will mean draining the entire system, inspecting everything that is in the system, making sure that nothing is broken or clogged, refilling and bleeding the system.

Good luck.
