Motorcycle Repair: suzuki gsxr600 carbs, suzuki gsxr600, mechanics

i just bought a used 93 gsxr600... i have it at the mechanics shop getting a full restore job...but... i decided to buy some of the parts myself... the carbs are shot on this bike and instead of rebuilding them... i found a set of carbs from a 98 model... they look the same... on the picture... is this a viable switch?  is there any adapters or whatever needed for this?

Hi Jason,

The carbs are different. Could not learn their bore sizes by checking my resources. I haven't done this specific swap before, so I'm not sure if they will fit the manifolds, or how much fabrication or other parts from the 98' would be necessary.

How are the original carbs shot? What happened to them?
