Motorcycle Repair: Primary Leaks, southside johnny, reply thanks

Question
This may sound rather stupid, but I heard a long time ago that "There are no stupid questions, but there may be a stupid answer"
Why is it that after you lay a HD down on the left side, the primary case always seems to leak and start dripping.  Is it because the case may have been jarred a little or does the gasket get moved, or just what is it?  In both instances, with an FXDX and an Ultra they both went down real easy. No primary case damage, but both times, after they were back on their wheels, they leaked primary fluid until the gasket was changed.   Can you tell me what is up with that and other than the obvious of not laying them down. How can I prevent it or what is the cure for the problem?  Is this normal and does it always happen, even if they are laid down easy.  The Ultra was stopped and went down on the left side and it still leaked some primary fluid... I look forward to your reply...Thanks for your time and help...Rob         the FXDX is a 2000. The Ultra is a 2003...

Answer
NEVER HEARD OF WAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT. wHEN THE BIKE GOES DOWN ON THE LEFT SIDE MABE THE WEIGHT OF THE BIKE ON THE PRIMARY CAUSES THE PRIMARY GASKET TO CRUSH MORE THE THE 120 INCH POUNDS OF TORQUE ON THE SCREWS AND WHEN THE BIKE IS LIFTED OFF THE PRIMARY THE ADDED PRESSURE IS NOW OFF THE PRIMARY COVER BUT THE GASKET REMAINS CRUSHED STILL THE SAME.    SOUTHSIDE JOHNNY   PHOENIX AZ   602-705-7474
