how do you reset the dual shocks on this type of bike is there a special tool or can you give me a tip

Most Honda shocks have a preload adjustment ring at the base of the shock spring. The bike came with a tool kit that had the "hook tool" adjuster in the tool pouch. Auto parts stores or tool supply houses often have adjustable hook tools for sale or check with Ebay auctions, salvage yards or your Honda dealer for the correct shock tool.
On dirt bikes, like yours, it is wise to spray some WD40 or other lubricant down in the area of the adjuster, as they often get rusted into place and/or dirt packs down in the gap causing difficulties in moving the ring.
