Motorcycle Repair: BMW R100/7 brakes, rotor system, bmw bmw

Question
Do you have any suggestions for improving the barely adequate front brake on my recently-acquired 1977 R100/7?  Perhaps a particular kind of pads? Braided hose? Installing a double-rotor system from some other model?

The drum brakes on my wife's current Nighthawk 250 are much more pleasant and confidence-inspiring (except when moisture makes them grabby).

Thanks very much for any bit of experience you are willing to share!

Answer
Hi Steve,

I recommend braided lines for every MC. For brake pads, use premium brands and try different pad compounds. You may find a less expensive solution compared to buying and installing new Performance Machine (brand name) or other complete replacement kits.
