Motorcycle Repair: Handlebar Risers, honda shadow 750, honda shadow 750 ace

Hello Chris!

There is a set of handlebar risers on eBay (item #2465346130).  I have been interested in trying a set of these as I have to reach just a little farther than I think is necessary for good comfort on my honda shadow 750 ace (2001).  Do you think those specific risers would fit my bars, and will the cables reach without modification?

I THINK I asked you a question a couple of months ago.  If so thanks, it was good guidance, if not, thanks in advance for this expert answer.

 welcome back.  The thing about buying accessories over the internet or from catalogs is that many times, it looks like it's the right part, but really isn't.  In all honesty, I cannot tell for sure if those risers would or would not work on your bike.

 The basic rule of thumb in a situation like this is that if it doesn't say that it will fit your bike, then it likely won't.  I would check with the local bike shop or dealership for an accessory like that.  They will make sure that you get the correct part the first time as well as let you know about anything that it may do to handling characteristics, as some of these things sometimes do change the way that you handle your bike.
