Motorcycle Repair: Carbs, suzuki gsxr, z1 900

I have a 1974 Z1 900. All stock except for the header. I'm trying to add some hp, I bought some 36mm carbs off a 1997 suzuki gsxr 1100. Now to my question, What do I have to do to get these to work on my bike. I need to know what intake boots can be used, is there a boot thats used stock on some bike out there that I may buy off like ebay. One more question any idea on jetting these carbs to work on my Z1.        Thank you  Troy Nelson  bluebyu@charter.net

Your MC sounds awesome!

I must refer you to check online for websites dedicated to Z1's. Tuning carburetors is very time consuming and requires hands on to get them dialed in. I could'nt walk you thru the process on-line.
