how do i balance the carbs with out a flow/balance meter?
i had a friend rebuild the carbs while i was doing some othr work on the bike( custem paint, and some re wiring), but he is not going to be around when i instal the carbs, and he told me i would nead a flow meter to get them to balance out.

Hi Shawn.
 The answer to your question is; You don't.  Trying to synchronize the carbs without a carbstix is like trying to ride in traffic with a blindfold on.

Your friend is right about needing the synchronizer to do it.  It is the only way to get it right.  If money is a problem, then get the economy version.  Either way, you need it to cet the carbs in synch and pulling together.
