Motorcycle Repair: 1974 xl350 [single], ebc brakes, aftermarket cam

Question
I have a aftermarket cam.[this cam pulls hard to 7500 red line with no noticable lose of bottem end]will wind to 8000 with good stock springs but no more power.this bike has been apart for years I would like to check the springs before reassembly, as I am afraid of droping a valve.I need the specs on the springs.Also I need a few parts if you know of any rear brake cam or  complete backing plate/carb  thanks

Contact EBC Brakes company and inquire if they can cross reference brakes for you.

I don't have the service manual for that vehicle or valve specs you need. Try an on-line search for websites dedicated to XL's. Also, ask your local Honda dealer's service manager. He shouldn't mind checking the manual, if they keep them that long. Most only work on MC's for the past ten years.
