Motorcycle Repair: 1988 honda cr250r, honda cr250, magnatism

Question
I have a 1988 Honda CR250 that I bought in a basket case condition. I performed a frame up restoration to the bike, the bike ran great after I finished the rebuild. After the bike sat for the winter it was started and I made a couple of laps around the yard when the engine just quit. I have a climer manual and went thru the tests for the coil, black box and stator all tested normall. I changed the plug, checked the flywheel for magnatism it checked out fine. all of the connections were checked along with the kill switch. from what I can tell everything checks out ok but I still have not spark. I hope that you can tell me what to check that I havn't or supply me with more detailed test of the ignition system than what the climer manual has. all help will be appreciated.

Thanks

Answer
Hi Dan,
Sorry for the delay in replying to your question. I'm having problems with my ISP.

If you tested all circuit components and they tested "good," consider looking for a damaged or loose wire or connector. Check ground fasteners for tightness and corrosion.

If still no spark, advise and I'll try and assit further.

I'll need your email to send test info.

Respectfully,
Mark Shively
