Nissan Repair: 2008 Pathfinder Climate Control

Hello Calvin,
Thank You so much for taking the time to help me, it is much appreciated. My Pathfinder climate control has 5 settings - 0,1,2,3,4 with 4 being maximum fan and 0 being 'off.' All settings work except '2'. How do you suggest I go about fixing this?

Hi Frank -

I would say this is the switch that is defective.

There is a chance that it could be the rheostat (resistor). This is located in the ductwork and usually is fastened to the firewall section passenger side of engine compartment. However normally if the rheostat is defective the fan will only work on number 4.

You can get an ohm meter and check the switch, but you will have to remove the switch to do so.
