ANSWER: Hi Wayne -

Can you tell me if the check engine light is on?

If so, I will need the OBD code. Any Autozone can do that.

QUESTION: The check engine light has never came on.I have changed the mass airflow sensor, plugs, wires, new injector clips.I just do not know what else to do but crush the car.It has new ac,works pretty good.Just about to give up.

Answer
Hi Wayne -

There are 2 things that you can check.

Fuel pump. Ensure that the fuel pump is providing sufficient pressure and volume. The pressure should be around 45PSI, and volume you will have to remove the main fuel line, hold the end into a graduated glass. Turn ignition on for 3 seconds. You should have at least a cup of fuel.

Ignition module. Located in the distributor. Known for failing when the engine is warm.

The 2 things above when defective will not trigger the check engine light, so it would be prudent to check it.

Hope this helps -
