Nissan Repair: Early morning cranking, nissan primera 1995, possible solution

Dear Expert, I have a Nissan Primera 1995 model, 2.0SL. It uses electric caburetor. It is hard to start early in the morning but once it starts, it will work fine all day long till next morning again. What could be the problem and possible solution? Thank you

by the sound of it could be the timing is off by a tooth has anybody been servicing it recently namely the timing belt as this is the most likely cause of a hard to start engine as when the engine is warm it will start ok but when cold will be a real pig to get started
