Nissan Repair: no ignititon, nissan pulsar 1990, volt meter

Question
Have a nissan pulsar 1990 n13 model hatchback and have no power to start ignition.Have replaced battery and am getting power to lights and horn but no power to dashboard. When i turn the key in the ignition nothing happens.Have replaced fuses but still nothing. Please help asap.

Answer
Hi Don -

Two things I would check right now is the fusible link, and the ignition switch.

The fusible link should be in the large circuit fuse and relay box, in the engine compartment on the fender well.

To check the ignition switch, you will need an ohm meter or volt meter. Do you have one of those?

Hope this helps -
