my nissan Frontier is a 5 speed when driving down the road this morning the check engine light came on and it bucked and jerked no matter what gear I was in if I didnt keep it a low RPMs. its leaking a small ammount of liquid (like clear black) so I have no idea.

Hi Travis -

The best way to handle this is to get the code for the check engine light. There are hundreds of sensors that could cause the light to illuminate and determining which one will point us in the right direction.

I think Autozone does this service for free, so might want to try that. It is called and OBD diagnostic tester, and if you get me the code that it downloads, I can tell you what it means and what to do.
