03 Nissan Avenir Pit S   QUESTION: I have a 2003 Nissan Avenir and the computer screen has started displaying a screen that says Pit in green with a spanner picture. I have had the car serviced fairly recently, and have just put 4 new tyres on it. Can you please tell me what the screen is saying in japanese, or what it means? Thanks

ANSWER: Hi Teresa -

That says that oil change is due. It is a maintenance reminder that appears every few thousand miles.

To reset it:

With the ignition ON but radio OFF, press in and hold the INFO button and turn volume control until the menu appears. Now choose CONFIRMATION and Enter. Go down and select SERVICE and press Enter. Select RESET and then Enter. Backup to the main menu and now turn ignition off. This should remove it.

QUESTION: Thanks Calvin. The standard Avenir radio has been changed to a Panasonic one, plus all the buttons for the computer navigation & subsequent computer screens are in japanese.

I think Ive found the info button (which makes a VICS screen come up, with the english word information at the top) but everything else is in japanese. Im not able to tell which option is CONFIRMATION or SERVICE or even RESET. Is there anywhere I can get a translation of the buttons & screens?
