Nissan Repair: oil leak, valve cover gasket, gasket seal

QUESTION: my oil leak seem s to be at the front of the sump and i have changed the gasket seal on the sump but seems to be still leaking

Hi Cam -

Have you checked the camseals? The timing cover needs to be removed to check these. When this leaks it travels inside of the timing cover and comes out at the bottom, near the oil pan gasket, so it seems sometimes that the leak is coming from the oil pan (sump) area).

Don't forget to check obvious things such as the oil sending unit and the valve cover gasket.
