Nissan Repair: aircon not cooling-, nissan xtrail, low pressures

Question
Hi my problem above.air not cold.

Did initial physical checks as follows,

Compressor Ok, clutch engaged ok when A/C switch is on.
Did vacumm a/c system for 30-1 hrs already-no change.(
yesterday, got a claimed A/C tech to look and said I need to replace, Compressor, TX Valve & Dryer, bacause High pressur side of guage = LOW & Low Pressure Side of guage = HIGH. He concludes that Cmpressor needs replacing!-My comp is working, thats why I don't understand.

Do we need to re-gas before he checked both (High & Low) pressures? or he was right to change the 3 parts?.

Nissan xtrail QR25 type
Auto-petrol 2.5
year 2005.

Please help-I have been buring for the last 6 months-without A/C

Thank you.

Also noticed that one of the big Fan is not working-only one is working.

Answer
The compressor may engage but that does not mean that there is no internal damage to it. First, the mechanic needs to see if the refrigerant is sucked in by the low pressure side of the system when attempted to recharge it. If not, then it could be a faulty R/D or a restricted expansion valve or the compressor had failed. Discharge, recover refrigerant, evacuate the system, and after the evacuation, with the gauges valves off, wait for a few minutes to see if there is a leak. If not, then proceed with the recharging to verify that the R/D and compressor are working.
