Nissan Repair: Nissan Altima, nissan altima, internal component

Question
I have a Nissan Altima with a starting problem. I replaced the battery and had the alternator checked. I then replaced the starter. The starter makes a slight humming noise and you can feel a vibration when trying to start the car. Do you know what could be my problem?

Hi Brad -

I would re-check the starter. I think the solenoid is not engaging the gear into the flywheel. The solenoid is an internal component of the starter. Unfortunately you will have to remove the starter onoce again. Good idea to have it "bench tested" before installation.
