QUESTION: Van starts normally and idles normally but at 2200 RPM's engine "hunts" and RPM's drops down and up between 1500-2200 RPM's and wont go above 2200 RPM's

QUESTION: The check engine light is not coming on but I believe it to be not functioning as I have disconnected other things that should have triggered the light to come on and it does not

When you just turn on the ignition, does the engine light illuminate?
The cause for your erratic idle could well be your computer.

QUESTION: Check engine light does not come on when ignition is turned on. Also I checked and cleaned the IAC valve and FIC solenoid housing which did not cure the problem. The MAF sensor seems to be operating as idle get rough when it is unplugged.Also checked the Catalytic converter for blockage and it had none. Engine starts and idles normally. Could the "hunting" be caused by a bad fuel pump regulator? I kinda doubt it because when the fuel pump pressure was tested it had textbook numbers pressure numbers.Where is the computer located on this module? It's not under the seat.

Hi Daniel -

The fact that the check engine light does not illuminate when the ignition is turned on leads me to think that the ECU is defective. I think this model ECU is located in the kick panel passenger side, or under dash.
