Nissan Repair: 1995 Nissan Quest ABS, disc rotor, cv joint

My ABS light has come on and off numerous times during wet weather and I would like to know what to check and where the sensor is located? if it is corroded and needs to be cleaned or replaced or if it could be a short in a wire? 270,000 miles and counting with a perfect running van..

Hi Michael -

Your ABS sensor should be right behind the brake disc rotor near the CV joint.
Yes, your first step is to have them both cleaned and see if that helps. Also ensure you have enough brake fluid. While you have your tires off, you can also check the brake pads.

If all else fails, then replace the sensor.
