Nissan Repair: no fuel nor fire, crank angle sensor, nissan d21

Question
I have a 1990 Nissan D21 and all of the sudden its not getting any fuel or fire changed the plugs wires and coil no fire from coil and no fuel to fuel rail whats the problem

Answer
Hi, first the spark. If your truck has the Z24i engine, (dual coils and 2 spark plugs per cylinder), use a test light and with the ignition switch in the "on" position verify voltage to the positive (+) terminals of the coils. If there is power there, move the test light to the negative (-) terminal of the coils. Have someone crank the motor and observe the test light. If it flickers, it means that the crank angle sensor inside the distributor is okay. If it does not or there is no light, it means that the crank angle sensor had failed and it needs to be replaced. If there is no juice on the pos (+) terminal of the coils, make a jumper cable and connect it to the battery's pos terminal and the coils pos terminal. Crank the motor and check for spark. If there is spark, then it's a problem with the wiring, or a bad ignition switch or a blown ign fuse. Check those items. On the 3.0 V6 engine, it is more likely that the crank angle sensor had failed. Now the fuel. In both Z24 motors and V6 3.0 litter, check the fuel pump relay, wiring and fuse. Use a test light and connect it to the fuel pump's pos terminal. Have someone turn the key to the "on" position. (do not try to crank the motor). The light should come on for a couple of seconds and then shut of. Also when the engine is cranking, the light should stay on. If this test is positive, then the fuel pump had failed. If not, then check the items I mentioned above. In other words, see if the fuel pump gets any power and if it doesn't find out why by checking the electrical components of it.
