i need to know why my back lights are not working and my gear box lights are not working in my 2004 nissan maxima and what do i need to do

Hi Patricia -

Looks like the fuse - This is located under dash driver's side, where your left leg usually is when you are driving. All fuses are labeled, so you will be looking for a fuse called "tail" or "instr", something to that effect. If in doubt pull it out with the tool provided in the fuse box and check to see if the metal piece in the plastic is broken.
