Nissan Repair: 98 200sx se, rubber pieces, couple dollars

Question
Even with key off and lights off, tail lights stuck on. Help? Also, pulled only fuse marked tail from under hood and still stuck on.

Answer
Hi Jimmy -

The brake lights works off a grommet and a switch above the brake pedal. What has probably happened is this grommet broke, especially if you see rubber pieces on the floor mat. The grommet is inexpensive, maybe a couple dollars, and just snaps in the hole on the pedal shaft, but access to it is a bit challenging.

The fuse for the tailights and brakes are different. Look for a fuse marked "stop".

hope this helps -
