Nissan Repair: TRIP ODOMETER RESTARTS, trip odometer, memory circuit

Question
QUESTION: I have a 2000 Maxima with 150K miles. For the past month, my trip odometer restarts everytime I turn off/on the car. Also my digital clock display is OFF. I checked the fuses and found that Socket 21 does not function. Any suggesions?

ANSWER: Hi Hector -

Looks like the memory circuit is not functioning in the odometer. The 2 could be related. Can you tell me what socket 21 supposed to feed? Do you have power on one side, and no power on the other with the ignition on?

QUESTION: Still no luck finding the issue. However, I went to autozone today to have my check egine light checked and found that there is also no power coming from my ODBII plug. The service guy suggested I check my cicargette fuses because they are connected to the OBDII PLUG.
Both my cigarette fuses are good.
Any suggestions...

ANSWER: Hi Hector -

Were you able to determine if you have power on one side of fuse terminal 21? With ignition on?

QUESTION: The fuse I'm referencing is called "starter signal"
I checked all fused while ignition On and I still can't find any bad ones.

Answer
Hi Hector -

I wanted to know if you have power to the fuse terminal, not if the fuse was good. That way you know where to start.

If there is no power to either side of the fuse terminals, then you will have to follow that wire and trace back to the battery to find where the open circuit is.

Hope this helps -
