Nissan Repair: How to repair scratch on dash of 2011 Nissan Altima, nissan altima, rubber type

I have a new 2011 Nissan Altima, and just noticed a 3/4 inch long thin scratch on the dash, which seems like a rubber type material. What can be used to cover it up or repair it. Thank you.

First of all is the vehicle still under warranty? If so, try to get a claim on that.

Do you know how the scratch came to be? and to what extent is the scratch? Can it be buffed out or has it actually damaged the surface?
