Nissan Repair: Brake problem, brake master cylinder, nissan pickup

Question
I have a 1993 Nissan pickup. The right front wheel is always seizing up. I changed the brake master cylinder, brake hose, caliper, all over a period of one month and it is still seizing up. I was just told that it might be the proportional valve.
Do I need to replace this valve or can it be cleaned?

Answer
Hi Denzil -

Sometimes this valve can be cleaned and reconditioned. There is a piston inside that moves back and forth as the brakes are applied, and there could be some debris. However, you will need to remove it in order to clean it. That being said, you might as well replace it with a new one.

Hope this helps -
