my ECM keeps shutting don my car after it runs and reaches operating temperatures can you please help also i think the light flashes 2 times hen u turn the key

Answer
Hi Chris -

It appears there may be a sensor that needs replacing. Unfortunately there are many sensors that could cause this, so you will need to take the vehicle to have the computer diagnosed and the code for the defective sensor downloaded.

Or, perhaps you can do it yourself in the following manner:

I believe your car has a pigtail connector on the right side of the dash underneath. If you jump the two terminals, the ECM light will start flashing a series of long flashes and maybe short ones. The pattern of the flashes will give you numbers:

one long flash and two short ones = 12
three long flashes and eight short ones - 38

Once you get the number, then we can determine what the problem is.

Hope this helps -
