Nissan Repair: ZD30, coolant temperature sensor, vehicle speed sensor

Question
I have a ZD30 Nissan with a recurring fault code ( 47 ) and
engine light that stays on......according to the code its a
engine speed sensor which is apparantly either the crank
sensor or injector pump. Both have been replaced and engine
light persists with same fault. The rev counter flicks up
and down during cranking as does the glowlight and engine
check light. What is the cause here please......its driving
me crazy ??

Answer
Gean,

I would look at air pump relay from the code given.  Check out the following list of codes.  Second, if it was the engine speed sensor replace the crank sensor since that is determining the engine revolution.
