Nissan Repair: 93 Nissan sentra, nissan sentra, gas milage

Question
QUESTION: Follow-Up:  what would that affect? I will check that.

ANSWER: Hi Kyle -

With that wire off, it will cause the engine to misfire and vibrate (miss) badly. Don't run it too long like that or you will have to replace the spark plug as well.

QUESTION: Thank you soooo much!! You may have fixed my car !!! It has had a rough
time starting and it has had a rough idle and we sped up the idle to
temporarily fix it, but we knew it wouldn't help for long. That wire has been
disconnected for quite some time and we could never find out where it
went... Are these all the things that disconnection could cause? Poor gas
milage, rough idle, sluggish acceleration, hard starting, and really gassy
exhaust??? Is this something I could fix right before work in the morning?

ANSWER: You got it buddy. All of that will be remedied by re-connecting that wire.
Enjoy your ride again!!

wasn't able to locate where the spark plug
boo plugged in. Some more info I have a 4
cyl. I'm just not sure what you mean by spark
plug boot. Were you referring to spark plug
wires....? I attached two more pictures, the
second one shows the location of the wire,
near the master cylinder. Please give me
some more info about this if you can.... Also
more about where is goes..... Thanks

Answer
HI Kyle -

Sorry, I could not open the pics. It says the pics have been moved or deleted.

Yes, I am speaking of spark plug wires. If it is by the master cylinder, then the spark plug it belongs to must be #5. Generally it is where the exhaust pipe meets the engine.

Let me see if I can find you a picture, but please give me some time. Do you have an email?
